The Industries Minister said that just as large industries are witnessing rapid growth in Odisha, the State government is also giving special attention to the development of MSMEs.

In a bid to promote small-scale industries in the state, the Odisha Industrial Conclave 2025 was organised at the Railway Auditorium in Bhubaneswar on Sunday. The event aims to study and identify the challenges faced in setting up industries in the State through detailed discussions led by the Odisha Industrial Conference.

Several associations were included in the programme. Chief Minister Mohan Majhi, Industries Minister Sampad Swain, Assembly Speaker Surama Padhy, along with other dignitaries, was present at the event.

Speaking on the occasion, the Industries Minister said that just as large industries are witnessing rapid growth in Odisha, the State government is also giving special attention to the development of MSMEs.

"Pradhan Mantri Rozgar Srajan Karyakram (PMEGP) is another good and effective program. Under this program, assistance has been provided to 80, 33,000 people for self employment. Importance has been given to 80 per cent youth from the rural area. This kind of importance has not been given earlier," said CM Mohan Majhi.

"Odisha is a State with big possibilities. Large industries are witnessing rapid growth in Odisha. Investments are coming to Odisha for large industries. After the success of Utkarsh Odisha Conclave, we have been successful in the ground breaking inauguration of 85 industries worth Rs 2,0,4,000 crore in the first 10 months. Toda's conclave was meant for the growth of MSMEs. Discussions were made on how to tap the potentials of MSMEs and its growth in Odisha," said Industries Minister Sampad Swain.
