Marking the completion of 500 days under the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, the Government of Odisha on Saturday approved 33 new industrial projects worth Rs 1.46 lakh crore, expected to generate over 66,000 employment opportunities across 14 districts.
The approvals were granted during the 42nd High-Level Clearance Authority (HLCA) meeting, chaired by CM Mohan Majhi, and the 141st State-Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) meeting, chaired by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja.
“This milestone reflects a confident, progressive, and investment-ready Odisha,” said Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, adding that the strong investor response underscores “the strength of our policies, the speed of governance, and our vision for a self-reliant and developed State.”
Massive Industrial Boost Across 14 Districts
The projects approved span diverse sectors, including IT & ESDM, Aerospace & Defence, Textiles, Food Processing, Green Energy, Specialty Steel, Aluminium, Power & Renewable Energy, Chemicals, Tourism, and Rare Earth Materials.

The investments are distributed across Angul, Balangir, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Ganjam, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Jharsuguda, Kandhamal, Kendrapara, Khordha, Puri, Sambalpur, and Sundargarh, ensuring balanced industrialization and inclusive regional growth.
Key HLCA Approvals (Rs 1.41 Lakh Crore)
Twelve mega projects received approval under the 42nd HLCA, generating 49,745 jobs. Major investors include:
Adani Enterprises Ltd – Coal-to-Chemical plant, Rs 84,000 crore (Sundargarh)
Jindal India Power Ltd – Ultra-supercritical thermal power plant, Rs 14,800 crore (Angul)
Hindalco Industries Ltd – Aluminium plant, Rs 10,517 crore (Sambalpur)
ACME Akshay Energy Pvt Ltd – Green Methanol & Green Ammonia units, Rs 14,766 crore (Kendrapara)
CESC Green Power Ltd – Solar modules & advanced battery manufacturing, Rs 4,505 crore (Dhenkanal)
UPL Ltd – Specialty chemicals complex, Rs 4,000 crore (Jagatsinghpur)
Key Single Window Approvals (Rs 4,019 Crore)
The 141st Single Window Committee cleared 21 projects with an investment of Rs 4,019 crore, creating 16,590 jobs.

TVS–ABI Showatech – Aerospace & Defence parts (Khordha)
Toray MAS Apparel India Pvt Ltd – Apparel manufacturing (Khordha)
Reliance Consumer – Food and beverage plant (Khordha)
Icon Solar-En Power Technologies Pvt Ltd – Solar cells manufacturing (Ganjam)
Hotel PAL Regency Pvt Ltd – 5-star deluxe hotel (Khordha)
500-Day Record of Industrial Growth
In the past 500 days, Odisha has approved 330 projects worth Rs 7.7 lakh crore, creating 4.7 lakh job opportunities through 12 Single Window and 7 HLCA meetings.
During this period, 76 projects were grounded and 8 major industries inaugurated, adding another Rs 2.04 lakh crore in investment and 1.63 lakh jobs.
