Bhubaneswar: In a move that could possibly infuse new life to the Odia film industry, Odisha government on Monday constituted a Ministerial Committee. Finance Minister Sashi Bhusan Behera will head the panel which will submit its report to the State government within a month.

The decision to form the committee was taken at a meeting chaired by the Chief Minister to discuss the issues relating to the Odia film industry today.

Basing on the recommendations and report of the panel, a policy would be then prepared for the development of Odia film industry, said a senior official.

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Minister Prafulla Samal and Industries Minister Anant Das will be members of the committee while Industries Secretary will be its convener.

Several issues relating to the Odia cine industry and development of iconic Kalinga studio were also discussed at the meeting today.
