The Law Minister stated that the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) related to the Ratna Bhandar has already been obtained. He expressed confidence that greater clarity on the way forward will emerge after the review process is completed.

“Regarding the inventory and valuation of ornaments at Ratna Bhandar, a review meeting is scheduled for 10.00 AM tomorrow at my office. Furthermore, the Chief Minister has also arranged a review of the matter at 1.00 PM on the same day,” the Law Minister said.

“We received the SOP for the Ratna Bhandar inventory 2-3 days ago. We are currently making decisions based on it, and following tomorrow's reviews—both at my office and with the Chief Minister—we have decided to commence the inventory process very soon,” Minister Harichandan expressed.

Worth mentioning, earlier, the Orissa High Court had issued significant directives to the Odisha government regarding the inventory and verification of valuables in the 12th-century shrine’s treasure trove. The court ordered that the counting and assessment process must be completed within the next three months, official sources had said on February 12.

In addition, the High Court had delivered important instructions concerning the inquiry report on allegedly missing keys of Ratna Bhandar. The court had directed that the inquiry report be presented during the upcoming session of the State Legislative Assembly.
