Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed deep grief over the sad demise of senior journalist Sheela Pattanayak on Tuesday. In a condolence message shared on his X handle, the Chief Minister described her as a responsible and respected journalist who had earned a strong reputation in the media fraternity.

The CM stated that her passing is an irreparable loss to the world of journalism. Praying to Lord Jagannath for the eternal peace of her departed soul, the Chief Minister also conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members during this time of sorrow.

“I am deeply saddened to hear the accidental death of Sheela Pattanayak, a young journalist of electronic media, News-7. She was known in the media world as a responsible journalist. This is an irreparable loss for the world of journalism. I pray to Lord Jagannath for the eternal peace of her soul and express my deepest condolences to the bereaved family. Om Shanti 🙏,” the CM said in his post.

Similarly, BJP National Vice-President and Kendrapara MP Baijayant Panda also expressed profound grief over Sheela Pattanayak’s death. In a post on X, Panda said he was deeply saddened and shocked by the news of her demise. He noted that Sheela Pattanayak would be remembered forever for her outstanding contribution to journalism.

The MP also prayed for the salvation of her soul and extended his sincere sympathies to her grieving family. Messages of condolence from senior political leaders reflect the respect and recognition she earned throughout her professional life.

Taking to X, Kendrapara MP wrote, “I am deeply saddened and shocked to hear the news of the untimely demise of Sheela Pattanayak, a journalist of the electronic media News7, in a tragic road accident near Pipili Mangalapur Chhak. For her outstanding contribution to the field of journalism, she will always be remembered. While praying for the peace of the departed soul, I express my deepest condolences to the bereaved family. Om Shanti 🙏🙏”
