The Odisha Chief Minister emphasised that maintaining law and order must remain the top priority for all districts. He issued strict instructions to curb illegal sand mining, calling it a growing menace that must be checked with coordinated action between district administration and police.

Urban Challenges and Public-Facing Governance

A major part of the discussion revolved around emerging challenges in urban areas, where rising population density and rapid development have introduced new policing and administrative issues. The CM urged officers to adopt proactive approaches and build stronger communication with the public.

Yesterday, the Chief Minister Majhi assigned nine key tasks to the officers, stressing a zero-tolerance policy toward corruption and reminding them to stay people-oriented in their approach.

The Chief Minister’s message was clear: transparency, accountability, and responsiveness must guide district administration. With renewed directives and clearer responsibilities, Odisha aims to ensure more efficient governance and a safer environment for its citizens across all districts.
