Odia singer Humane Sagar passes away at AIIMS Bhubaneswar

As per reports, he was being monitored by specialists at AIIMS-Bhubaneswar since his emergency admission three days ago, with doctors using advanced life-support systems to stabilise him.

Popular Odia singer Humane Sagar, who was admitted to AIIMS Bhubaneswar, passed away on Monday evening. He was 36. He was undergoing treatment at AIIMS Bhubaneswar for more than 72 hours. As per reports, he was being monitored by specialists at AIIMS-Bhubaneswar since his emergency admission three days ago, with doctors using advanced life-support systems to stabilise him.

Earlier in the day, his wife said that there had been no improvement in his condition in the past 24 hours.

Did Not Respond To Treatment

As per the information provided by the treating doctor, Srikant Behera of AIIMS Bhubaneswar, “Humane Sagar was admitted to the hospital on 14th November with diagnosis of Bilateral pneumonia, Acute Chronic Liver Failure (ACLF), Dilated cardiomyopathy with severe LV systolic dysfunction, MODS (Multi organ dysfunction syndrome)- Refractory Shock, Severe Respiratory failure, Anuric acute kidney injury, Encephalopathy, Hepatopathy, Thrombocytopenia, Coagulopathy did not respond to treatment despite all aggressive and advanced care provided by an expert team of specialist doctors and expired at 9.08 PM on 17.11.2025.”

Condolences Pour In

Soon after the singer's demise, Odisha CM Mohan Majhi expressed condolences. Taking to his X handle the CM said, "I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of renowned playback singer Human Sagar. His demise is an irreparable loss to our music and cinema. I convey my condolences to the bereaved family and pray to God for the peace of the departed soul."

Similarly, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and BJP National VP & Kendrapara MP, Baijayant Panda also expressed grief over the untimely demise of the popular Odia singer.

Early Life & Background

Born on 25 November 1990 in Titilagarh, Bolangir, Humane Sagar grew up in a musically gifted family. With both his grandfather and father working as music directors, he was introduced to melodies and rhythms from a young age, shaping his artistic path.

Rise to Fame

His exceptional voice earned statewide recognition when he won Tarang TV’s 'Voice of Odisha Season-2' in 2012. This victory opened the door to Ollywood, where he made his playback debut in 2015 with the film 'Ishq Tu Hi Tu'. The movie became a massive hit, instantly catapulting him to popularity.
