Nuapada’s Boden gets 'Bijay Laxmi' luxury bus service to Cuttack via Bhubaneswar

A new luxury bus service connecting Boden in Nuapada district with Cuttack via Bhubaneswar has been launched to improve travel convenience for residents of the region. The service is expected to ease commuting for thousands of people who frequently travel to the Twin Cities for various purposes.

The bus service has been introduced by Akshaya Nanda, secretary of the Khariar Private Bus Owners’ Association and owner of the operating company Bijay Laxmi. 

According to him, the initiative aims to provide comfortable and accessible transport facilities for passengers from the Boden area.

New Route to Improve Connectivity

It is said that thousands of residents from Nuapada district travel daily to Bhubaneswar and Cuttack for different needs. However, the lack of direct bus services has long created difficulties for commuters, especially for people living in and around Boden.

Due to limited transport options, many travellers are often compelled to travel to Kantabanji, Titilagarh or Kesinga to board trains for their onward journey. The newly introduced bus service is expected to reduce such inconvenience.

Timings and Facilities

Akshaya Nanda, owner of the operating company Bijay Laxmi said, "The Bijay Laxmi bus will depart from Boden at 6:45 pm, from Khariar at 8:00 pm, from Kantabanji at 8:50 pm, from Patnagarh at 9:35 pm and from Balangir at 10:30 pm before heading towards Cuttack and Bhubaneswar."

He further said that on the return journey, the bus will leave from Cuttack at 7:15 pm from Platform No. 12 or 13 and from Bhubaneswar at 8:15 pm from Platform No. 19, travelling towards Khariar.

Facilities for Passengers & Ticket Booking

The bus is fully air-conditioned and equipped with push-back seats and sleeper facilities. Each seat also has mobile charging points to enhance passenger comfort. 

An insurance cover of around Rs 1 lakh has also been provided for this bus.

The ticket price for sleeper berths has been fixed at Rs 800, while other seats will cost Rs 650. 

Passengers can book tickets both offline and online, including through the Bijay Laxmi mobile application available on the Play Store, where ticket cancellation is also possible.
