FIR against singer Tarique Aziz after Biraja Temple prayer pic goes viral

An FIR was lodged against famous Ollywood singer Tarique Aziz for hurting religious sentiments after the picture of his prayers at Biraja Temple in Jajpur went viral on social media.

The “O Balma” singer courted controversy after he shared a photograph on his Instagram account. In the picture he was seen posing with some temple priests after reportedly offering prayers at the temple.

Expressing resentment over the incident, Biraja Bahini, a local outfit, lodged a complaint against the singer.

The President of Biraja Bahini, Santosh Behera said; “We got to know about this after the Muslim singer posted his photograph on social media. After knowing about the incident, we have filed an FIR. We demand police to arrest him within 24 hours or else we will stage demonstration near the temple premise.”

Meanwhile, the Temple underwent a thorough cleansing process following reports of Aziz's entry into it.
President of Biraja Mandir Sevayat Parishad, Debi Prasad Pani said; “The temple has gone through a purification process from the idol of the Goddess to the temple premises including the kitchen. Everything has been thoroughly cleaned and purified with puja.”

Pani further added, “The government should take appropriate measures to stop non-Hindus from entering temple premises. A sign board should be raised outside the temple to provide clear information about the shrine meant solely for Hindu devotee.”

The singer could not be contacted for comments.
