In a significant move aimed at strengthening administrative efficiency and accountability, the newly appointed Odisha Chief Secretary Anu Garg has introduced a series of reforms at the administrative level. As part of the initiative, a high-level review meeting with all district Collectors will be held on the 16th of every month.
The meeting will be conducted regularly on the 16th, except on holidays and Mondays, and all district Collectors will participate through video conferencing. During the meeting, the Chief Secretary will review various pending and ongoing works at the district level and assess their progress.
The monthly review will be guided by a four-point directive, with discussions focused only on critical and priority issues. District Collectors and departments have been instructed to remain fully prepared with relevant data and updates.
Each department has been directed to prepare a 30-minute presentation for the meeting. The presentation must be in the form of a seven-slide PowerPoint and should be completed within 10 minutes. It has been made mandatory for departments to hold prior discussions with district collectors on all agenda items.

As per the guidelines, agenda points must reach the Planning and Convergence Department from each district by the 8th of every month. Departments have also been instructed to submit details of pending or slow-moving issues in a prescribed format, limited to 50 words.
