Kendrapara: Panic has now gripped the people of Mangalpur Bhuiansahi in the district after 22 sheep were killed by some unknown animal in the past two days. The incident of sheep killing has created panic in the area.

According to reports, six sheep were killed today while 16 others were found dead yesterday.

Local residents alleged that there is a difference in the pattern in the sheep killing incidents in Kendrapara and Niali.

In Kendrapara, the unknown animal is attacking sheep on the neck and legs while in Niali injury marks were found on the abdomen and other parts, local residents alleged.

They are demanding measures by the forest department to put a check on such incidents.

Official sources said soon a medical team will be sent to the affected areas and the post-mortem of the dead sheep will be conducted.
