In addition, a three-storey building and a two-storey building in Jagatsinghpur were also detected. Searches at Ancestral Home

As part of the ongoing investigation, Vigilance officials also conducted a search at Samantaray’s ancestral house at Samantarapur village under Tirtol police station limits. Several incriminating documents, bank passbooks, gold ornaments, and cash were reportedly seized during the search.

Investigation Continues

The raids form part of an ongoing probe into allegations that the forest ranger amassed wealth far exceeding his known income sources. Vigilance officials are currently examining the seized financial records and documents to ascertain the extent of the alleged irregularities.

The substantial recovery of cash, deposits, and immovable properties has raised serious questions about the financial dealings of the accused officer. Further investigation is underway, and appropriate legal action will be initiated based on the findings, officials said.
