Miscreants snatch Rs 2 lakh from Odisha businessman in broad daylight

In a shocking incident of daylight robbery, miscreants allegedly snatched Rs 2 lakh from a businessman on Kapilas Road in Rayagada town on Monday, triggering panic in the area. 

The victim has been identified as businessman Ranjit Kumar Dalai.

As per reports, Dalai was on his way to deposit the money at a bank when the incident took place. While he was travelling along the Kapilas Road, a group of unidentified miscreants arrived on a motorcycle and suddenly intercepted him.

The accused reportedly snatched a bag containing Rs 2 lakh in cash from the businessman and fled the scene immediately, leaving the victim stunned. The entire incident occurred in broad daylight, raising serious concerns over law and order in the locality.

Following the robbery, the victim lodged a complaint at the Rayagada Sadar Police Station. Acting on the complaint, police have launched an investigation into the incident.

Sources said that the police are currently examining nearby CCTV footage to identify the culprits and trace their movements after the crime. Efforts are underway to nab the miscreants involved in the daring robbery. Further investigation into the matter is in progress.
