Miscreants loot idols, donation box from Puri's Bali Kapileswar temple

A theft was reported from the Bali Kapileswar temple located near Mangala Ghat under the jurisdiction of Puri Sadar Police Station on Tuesday. According to information, unidentified miscreants entered the temple premises during the late hours of the night and stole temple idols along with the donation box kept inside the shrine.

The incident came to light early this morning when the temple priest arrived to perform the daily rituals. On entering the temple, he noticed that the idols and the donation box were missing. The priest immediately informed the Puri Sadar Police about the incident.

Police Begin Investigation

Following the complaint, police personnel reached the spot and began an investigation into the matter. Preliminary inquiries are underway to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the theft and identify those involved.

The theft has caused concern among temple authorities and devotees. Police are continuing their investigation to recover the stolen items and bring the culprits to justice.
