The Matriculation examination has commenced, and a heart-warming scene has emerged from an exam centre in Odisha’s Koraput district.
While a candidate was inside the examination hall writing her paper, her husband stood patiently outside the centre holding their 18-month-old child. The touching moment was witnessed at Sunapur High School in Koraput district on Thursday.
Coming 35Km For Exam
As per reports, the tribal couple has been travelling nearly 35 kilometres back and forth so that the woman can appear for the examination. As the mother takes her Matriculation exam inside, the father waits outside the school premises, caring for their young child.
The woman, identified as Kumari Disari of Totaguda village, had dropped out of school in Class IX. She got married at the age of 22. With the support of her family, she later resumed her studies and is now appearing for the Class X examination.

She aspires to pass the Matric examination, secure a job, and contribute to the family’s livelihood by standing shoulder to shoulder with her husband.
"My wife is appearing in Matriculation examination as she will join Anganwadi job. We have covered 35 km in bike to reach at the examination centre and it took us around one and half an hour. After two years of marriage my wife is appearing in the examination to secure a job," said the husband of the examinee.
