Man killed, father critically injured in bomb explosion in Odisha's Angul

A bomb explosion near a house in Sipur village under Samal police limits in Angul’s Pallahara area on Monday resulted in the death of a man and left his father critically injured.

According to initial reports, the blast is suspected to have been triggered by a bomb allegedly planted for animal hunting. The explosion occurred in close proximity to their residence, causing fatal injuries to the man, who succumbed on the spot.

The father, who sustained critical injuries in the incident, was immediately rushed to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack, Odisha for treatment.

Local police have initiated an investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the explosion.
