The Mahanadi Water Disputes Tribunal (MWDT) is scheduled to visit Odisha from February 26 to March 2, 2026, for a four-day official tour. The delegation will comprise the Honourable Chairperson and members of the Tribunal, accompanied by their family members and staff, making up a total of 10 persons.

According to official communication, the Tribunal team will visit Sambalpur and Jharsuguda as part of its itinerary. The delegation will also travel to Puri, where the Chairperson and members are expected to offer prayers at the Jagannath Temple.

In preparation for the visit, the State Home Department has directed the District Collectors of Khordha, Puri, Jharsuguda and Sambalpur to ensure necessary arrangements and proper coordination. The instructions emphasise smooth facilitation of the programme during the Tribunal’s stay in the state.
