Bhubaneswar: Intensifying its investigation into the KIIT University campus violence incident, Commissionerate police today informed that CCTV footages are being examined to identify more students involved in the group clash.

Police Commissioner Satyajit Mohanty today informed that police have enough footage to establish identify of the students involved and accordingly notices will be issued to them.

"Five students have been issued 41 CrPC notice and subsequently released. No student has sustained any serious head or critical injury and all have been discharged," said Mohanty while clarifying that Sec 144 has not been clamped on the campus.

On being asked if action would be taken against the KIIT authorities for the violence, Mohanty said CCTV footages are being checked and only after the investigation it could be said whether the KIIT authorities would be made responsible for the clash or not.

Two cases have been registered in connection with the violent group clash that broke out between two student groups of KIIT University on November 24 allegedly over passing lewd comments to a student.
