Jay Dholakia will carry forward his father’s dream: Mother Kalpana Dholakia

BJP leader Jay Dholakia took oath as the MLA of Nuapada on Thursday, coinciding with his father’s birth anniversary. Speaker Surama Padhy administered the oath to the legislator.

"Today is the birth anniversary of late Raju Bhai Dholakia. I am thankful to the Chief Minister, Speaker and all the legislators that I have been administered the oath on this memorable day. I will work for the development of Nuapada. I would like to thank the Chief Minister on behalf of the Nuapada people, as he himself has taken the responsibility of the constituency. The victory is not mine alone; rather, it belongs to all the people of Nuapada, late Raju Bhai Dholakia and all the district, state and national level workers of BJP," said Jay Dholakia.

As per reports, Dholakia's family members were present on this special occasion. Jay’s mother said that her son will carry forward his father’s dreams.

"We are so happy for the occasion. Today is the birth anniversary of Jay's father, and hence he has chosen this day to take oath. When my husband had taken oath as an MLA and Minister, I had joined the ceremony, and today I joined with my son in his oath-taking ceremony. I am hopeful that my son will carry forward the dream of his father for the development of Nuapada," said Jay Dholakia's mother, Kalpana Dholakia.

Jay's wife also stated that all the promises made during the election will be fulfilled. 

"I am so happy and hopeful that my husband will continue to serve the people of Nuapada like my father. I will continue to support my husband like before. All the promises made before the election will be fulfilled," said Jay Dholakia's wife, Suman Dholakia.
