Speaking candidly, actress Rani Panda remarked that in today’s times, the more controversial a person becomes, the greater their public craze. Referring to Piyush Tripathy, she described him as a “silent actor” who speaks less, smiles subtly and manages to charm audiences effortlessly. According to her, the recent controversies surrounding Piyush have only increased his popularity among viewers.

She further added that the real measure of this growing craze would be evident at the upcoming Khandagiri Jatra, where audiences would witness the response first-hand.

“Today, controversy is often created purely for publicity. Without controversy, there is hardly any public attention. In Odisha, those who remain surrounded by controversy continue to stay in the spotlight. This is a kind of strategy. If you observe his attitude and behaviour, you will see that he works very cleverly and silently.” said Jatra actress Rani Panda.

Piyush Tripathy’s Calm Response

Reacting to the remarks, Piyush Tripathy maintained a composed stance. He said he is unaffected by what others say about him and believes that everything happens according to God’s will. Emphasising faith over controversy, he stated that whatever God desires will ultimately take place.

“Even God was subjected to conspiracy, so we are only human beings doing our work. I pray that God bless everyone. This is not the time to pull or drag anyone down. I have been granted permission to perform in Jatra, and the legal case will continue in its own course.” said Piyush Tripathy.

Shared Stage at Baruneswar Mela

Both Jatra artistes were recently seen at the Baruneswar Mela in Binjharpur, drawing significant attention from spectators.

The contrasting views of the two performers have added fresh buzz to the Jatra circuit, setting the stage for heightened audience interest ahead of the Khandagiri Jatra.
