BJP leaders stated that the mass joining would significantly strengthen the party’s organisation at the grassroots level in the coming days.

However, local BJD MLA Pradip Sahu denied the claims, stating that no BJD member or office-bearer has officially quit the party.

"People are loving good governance and leadership of BJP. Hundreds of grassroots workers from different parties in Bolagarh have joined BJP today. They have promised to take the welfare schemes of the government to the poor people," said State BJP Vice-President Jatin Mohanty.

"The party (BJP) is not yet stable. Some persons with selfish motives are leaving parties to join BJP. The event was organised only to draw media attention," said BJD MLA Pradip Sahu.
