The former legislator was seen losing his temper and responding aggressively to the media query.

Sahoo even used harsh language while replying to the questions and asserted that although his side had lost politically, nobody could do anything to him.

Later, clarifying the matter, Sahoo said the gathering was purely a friendly get-together and not connected to any negative or political agenda. He stated that the leaders had assembled only for camaraderie and mutual interaction. “There is nothing wrong or suspicious about this meeting,” he said, dismissing any attempts to link the gathering to internal party politics.

“We learnt that you have been waiting for us. So, we, two brothers, came out to ask why you are waiting for us for such a long time. We know everything, but don’t create negative buzz. We have already lost and don’t care about anyone (nobody can do anything to us). We have come here for a get-together, for a feast, we have had food and are now enjoying ourselves here,” an agitated former BJD leader, Rajendra Sahoo, stated.

The former MLA further added that such meetings were not new, claiming that similar get-togethers had been organized eight to ten times in the past as well. He said the latest meeting was arranged as a feast ahead of the New Year, stressing that it should not be viewed through a political lens.
