Role Of Spirituality In Digital Age

The event witnessed engaging discussions on a wide range of topics, including spirituality, science, culture, and entertainment. Eminent spiritual gurus shared their perspectives on how ancient wisdom and spiritual practices can remain relevant in today’s rapidly evolving world. Speakers highlighted the growing challenges of modern life and stressed the importance of balancing technological advancement with inner peace and moral values.

A key theme that emerged during the discussions was the role of spirituality in the digital age.

Many speakers expressed concern that the younger generation is increasingly drifting away from devotion and traditional spiritual practices due to the overwhelming influence of technology and social media. They emphasised that spirituality can serve as a guiding force for youth, helping them cultivate discipline, compassion, and a deeper sense of purpose in life.

Gap Between Tradition & Modernity

“Reaction comes from our lower self, but response comes from our higher self. Anger, desire, jealousy, fear, and stress are the lower self of our personality. But, our values, sense of purpose and knowledge come from our higher self,” shared Swami Mukundananda.

Likewise, Guru Gouranga Das shared, “The inner conflict within our thoughts and identities is so worrisome that it affects our decision-making strength. It paralyses our decision-making ability. Therefore, the Bhagavad-Gita is the best management book on decision-making.”

The programme was structured into five insightful sessions, each focusing on different themes and ideas. Through thoughtful dialogue and diverse viewpoints, the conclave attempted to bridge the gap between tradition and modernity while encouraging audiences to reflect on the relevance of spirituality in everyday life.

The ‘Manthan’ conclave once again highlighted the importance of meaningful conversations in shaping a more balanced and value-driven society.
