Puri: Police today sought details from Hindi television actress Mahika Sharma in connection with the alleged eve teasing incident in Puri on occasion of Rath Yatra.
The Puri SP on Thursday asked the actress a detailed report on the incident that took place on July 14 during her visit to Srimandir and assured action against the accused.
Mahika, in one of her recent Instagram posts narrated that she was eve teased and manhandled by a group of youths while on her way to the temple for the morning Arati. But the actress did not lodge a police complaint and returned to her hotel room without a darshan of the deities.
"A group of people made my fun and one pushed me n was to slap...still I kept quite..no complaints..and I don't want to. I believe Lord Jagannath will do justice," wrote Mahika in her Instagram post.
The actress popular for her role in the Hindi tele series FIR and Ramayana wrote, " I kept quiet. No complaints. And I don't want to. I believe Lord Jagannath will do justice. They are his kid. I'm also his daughter. And I forgive. Because we are one. God bless them. I'm sorry after coming to you. I couldn't see you, lord. Bless me.”
