A shocking case of elder abuse and neglect has emerged from Bhavarbaga village in Bolangir's Patnagarh block, where an elderly woman has reportedly been thrown out of her home by her own son.
The woman now finds herself abandoned and struggling to survive. Local reports state that the son reportedly turned against his mother, forcing her out of the house, leaving her without shelter or support.
“My son has thrown me out of the house. I survive by begging and whatever people give me out of sympathy. Only god knows what has happened to him. He would come home drunk and fight with me. Now, he has thrown me out of my house,” the lady claimed.
