Dense fog was observed in various districts across Odisha, including Bhubaneswar, on Monday, affecting the movement of vehicular traffic in several regions. In the Capital city, heavy fog was seen from early dawn, which reduced visibility and led to the disruption of vehicular traffic.

In Mohana as well, dense fog affected the movement of vehicles, creating delays in routine morning travel. Similar conditions were reported along National Highway 326, which connects to Berhampur, where heavy fog persisted during the morning hours, reportedly. 

According to reports, visibility dropped to the extent that nothing was visible beyond a distance of 50 metres, forcing drivers to slow down and increasing the risk of traffic congestion.

Passenger buses and ambulances were particularly affected, with drivers facing severe difficulties in transporting patients due to poor road visibility. The situation posed challenges for emergency medical response teams, who had to navigate cautiously to ensure safe passage, as sources said.

Konark Also Affected

In Konark, traffic was significantly affected due to the fog. Initial reports indicate that travel on key routes moving in and out of the town was significantly slowed, with both private and public transport service schedules experiencing widespread delays.
