Bhubaneswar: It’s going to be a litmus test for the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadami Party (AAP) as it is likely to face a tough challenge in upcoming 2020 Delhi Assembly elections to be held on February 8. Many believe that there will be a triangular battle between the AAP, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress.

BJP National VP and former MP from Odisha, Baijayant ‘Jay’ Panda hit campaign trail and met voters in Matiala and Uttam Nagar. Panda criticised the AAP for failing to address key issues plaguing the people in the national capital.

Panda assured people to resolve the issues once BJP comes to power in Delhi.

Apart from Panda, Union Minister Pratap Sarangi and senior BJP leader Kanak Vardhan Singhdeo also campaigned for party candidates in different parts of Delhi.

“History will be written in Delhi and people will not allow anti-national forces and those destroying public property to come to power. The people of Delhi will vote for nationalism and will not support the ‘Tukde tukde gang’,” said Sarangi.

Sarangi further said that people in Delhi are facing numerous problems as the present AAP government has failed to keep its promises. The people here will not support those who are blocking streets against CAA, Sarangi said.

The 2020 Delhi Assembly elections will be held on February 8 and the results will be announced on February 11.

In the last elections, AAP had registered a landslide victory by winning 67 out of total 70 seats. BJP had won three seats while the Congress failed open its account.
