Spring has arrived in Odisha, bringing noticeable changes in the state’s weather. The chill is easing, and daytime temperatures are steadily climbing. Early mornings continue to witness fog at several places, but the heat during the day is becoming more pronounced.
Currently, with no active weather system over the state, the Meteorological Centre predicts largely dry conditions will prevail throughout the coming week. Experts have also confirmed that no significant variation in temperature is expected during this period. While there are no cold-related warnings in place, light to moderate fog may continue at some locations until January 26.

Temperatures on the Rise
The daytime temperatures in 19 cities across the state remained above 30 degrees Celsius on Wednesday. Bhubaneswar recorded the highest temperature at 32.3 degrees Celsius, followed by Jharsuguda and Paradip. Meteorological experts anticipate that temperatures may increase further by 3 to 4 degrees in the coming days, signaling a clear transition into warmer spring conditions.
Residents are advised to take necessary precautions against the daytime heat while enjoying the mild mornings that still carry traces of winter fog. The combination of bright sun and occasional fog is expected to continue defining Odisha’s weather pattern for the next week.
