This move follows a previous 3% DA hike announced in October 2024, which had increased the DA from 50% to 53%. With the latest increment, the state government aims to mitigate the impact of rising inflation and enhance the purchasing power of its employees.

The Odisha government's proactive approach to revising DA underscores its commitment to the welfare of its employees, ensuring that their financial well-being is safeguarded amid economic challenges.

Alongside this, a 2 per cent hike in the Dearness Relief (commonly referred to as TI or ‘Temporary Increase’) has also been announced for the Odisha government pensioners.

This timely gesture has been welcomed across various employee associations, with many hailing it as a positive step towards financial security for thousands of families dependent on government service and pensions.
