According to experts, the system is expected to further intensify into a depression before potentially escalating into a cyclonic storm over the southwestern Bay of Bengal. While the exact path of the storm remains uncertain, authorities have urged coastal communities to stay alert and monitor official updates.

Weather experts have cautioned that the system could bring heavy rainfall and strong winds to coastal regions once it strengthens. Fishermen have also been advised to avoid venturing into the sea until the storm’s trajectory becomes clearer.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) continues to closely track the evolving weather system and is expected to issue further updates on its intensity and potential impact over the next 48 hours.

IMD Predicts No Rainfall Activities In Coming Days

Earlier yesterday, regional Meteorological Department director Manorama Mohanty said Odisha is set to witness a prolonged dry spell for at least the next few days, despite the formation of a low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal on Saturday.
