Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Odisha tomorrow to conduct an aerial survey of the districts ravaged by cylone Amphan. A security review at the Bhubaneswar airport by the top brass of Odisha Police was conducted today in view of the PM's visit.
According to sources, a team of the SPG is also likely to review the security arrangements tonight.

DGP reviewed security arrangements for proposed visit of PM today. Director Intelligence, CP Cuttack Bhubaneswar, ADG LO, Spl Director Intelligence, Both Additional Commissioners attended the meeting.

Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had assured all possible help from the Centre to Odisha and West Bengal in tackling cyclone Amphan.
“My thoughts are with the people of Odisha as the state bravely battles the effects of Cyclone Amphan. Authorities are working on the ground to ensure all possible assistance to the those affected. I pray that the situation normalises at the earliest,” Modi tweeted.

Modi is also likely to hold discussions with Odisha government officials tomorrow, sources said.
Earlier today, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik conducted an aerial survey of the Cyclone Amphan-affected districts in the State.

Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba also held a meeting with Odisha Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy through video conference and reviewed the immediate post-cyclone scenario in the state. Tripathy informed that nearly 45 lakh people in 89 blocks of the State have been affected by cyclone Amphan which moved along Odisha coast before landfall in West Bengal on May 20.
As many as two lakh people were evacuated while 210 medical teams and 75 teams of veterinary doctors have been despatched to the affected areas in the State, he added.
Odisha Revenue and Disaster Management department has sought a preliminary report from district Collectors on the damage caused by the cyclone Amphan.
