Normalcy has returned to Cuttack after days of tension and restrictions. With the curfew lifted and internet services restored, daily life in the city is gradually getting back on track.
The district administration had suspended internet connectivity for nearly 48 hours as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of rumours following the recent unrest.
Internet Services Resumed
Internet services, which remained suspended till 7 PM on Tuesday, have now resumed, bringing a sense of relief to residents who had been disconnected from communication and digital services.
Shops and markets reopened soon after the 36-hour curfew was withdrawn from 13 police station areas. People were seen stepping out without fear as public transport, business, and normal activities resumed smoothly across the city.
Situation Is Under Control: Police
Police officials have confirmed that the situation is under control, but surveillance will continue in the coming days. Security forces remain deployed in sensitive areas while plainclothes policemen have also been stationed to monitor movement and maintain peace.

With major festivals like Diwali, Kali Puja, and Kartikeswar Puja approaching, the Commissionerate Police have assured citizens that strict vigilance will be maintained to prevent any recurrence of unrest.
Moreover, the local authorities have appealed to the public to cooperate with the administration and help maintain harmony in the city.
