Use Of Surveillance Technology

Police have arranged for continuous monitoring through CCTV networks and drone surveillance. The technology-driven surveillance will cover major puja mandaps, crowd congregation zones, and immersion routes.

Further, real-time monitoring is also on and is expected to help coordinate deployment quickly in case of emergencies.

Dedicated Focus On Vulnerable Groups

Commissioner Singh added that the police have held the safety of women and children as a priority during the celebrations. As such, special deployment will be made in crowded areas, puja pandals, and procession routes.

Plainclothes personnel will be stationed at strategic points to address complaints and ensure immediate intervention.

Traffic And Parking Arrangements

A separate traffic management system will be enforced during the festival period. Thirty-five designated parking places have been identified across Cuttack to regulate vehicle movement. The traffic wing has prepared diversions and road closures to be implemented during immersion.

Bhasani-specific traffic restrictions will come into effect at 7 AM on October 3 and remain until the conclusion of the Bhasani procession on October 4. Vehicle movement will be curtailed around immersion routes to ensure the safe passage of processions and prevent congestion.
