“Three persons lost their lives in the unfortunate incident, while three others are undergoing treatment at SCB Medical College and Hospital. Their condition is reported to be stable. The state government and district administration have already provided compensation to the families of the deceased,” said Collector Shinde.

He further added that the administration will soon begin the demolition of other unsafe buildings in the area. The process, which had been delayed due to the monsoon season, is set to resume shortly.

“The committee will examine two key aspects — what construction was permitted under the planning approval and what was actually built, along with the building’s safety condition. The report will be submitted by tomorrow evening, and strict action will follow based on the findings,” Shinde asserted.
