COVID-19 Van Overturns In Odisha, Driver Injured

Gajapati: A driver of a van, engaged in transportation of COVID-19 patients, was injured after the vehicle overturned near Naringi ghat under Mohana Police limits in Gajapati district late on Saturday night.

As per reports, the vehicle was returning to Mohana after dropping COVID-19 patients at the dedicated COVID hospital at Paralakhemundi.

It is suspected that the mishap occurred after the van skidded off the road. The driver, who has sustained critical injuries in the mishap, was rescued by a medical team which was travelling on the same route.

The driver of the COVID-19 van was initially admitted to Mohana hospital and was later shifted to Berhampur MKCG hospital after his condition deteriorated.
