Koraput is reeling under a cold wave, with residents experiencing a noticeable drop in temperature over the past few days. The chill has become more intense in Laxmipur, where locals are feeling the brunt of the winter conditions.
A local resident said that the cold has been setting in for the last couple of days. “We have started to feel the chill in the mornings. It feels pleasant to exercise in this weather. I usually leave home around 4.30 am and return by 7.00 am,” he shared.
Narayanpatna Witnesses Unusual Cold
Another local resident noted that Narayanpatna, which generally experiences mild temperatures compared to Koraput, is unusually colder this year. “This time it feels different because of the continuous rainfall over the past three to four months. The cold may continue until late February,” he said.
Colder Weather Affects Daily Activities
A tea stall owner mentioned that business has slowed down due to the chill. “People are not visiting the stall as much because of the colder weather,” he stated.
