Class 10 girl student found dead under suspicious circumstances in Rourkela

A Class 10 girl student died under suspicious circumstances in the Bisra police station area of Rourkela, raising serious questions over the events leading to her death.

According to reports, the minor was found in a critical condition in a nearby forest and was rushed to a hospital, where she later succumbed during treatment. Police said the student had left her house on Thursday morning, informing her family that she was going to school. However, when she failed to return home, and it was later confirmed that she had not attended school, her family lodged a missing persons complaint at the local police station.

Acting on the complaint, police launched a search operation and traced the girl to a nearby forest area. She was immediately shifted to a hospital, but despite medical intervention, she died while undergoing treatment.

During the investigation, police seized the girl’s bicycle and a bottle suspected of containing poison from the forest. The recovery has raised several unanswered questions, including why the minor went to the forest, whether she went there on her own or was taken by someone else, and how the suspected poison bottle reached the spot.
