CISF officer helps Delhi passenger recover lost smart glasses at Bhubaneswar airport

A moment of anxiety for a Delhi-based passenger at Biju Patnaik International Airport turned into a heartening example of professionalism and alertness by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), earning widespread appreciation on social media.

The incident came to light after the passenger, identified as Shubhendu, shared his experience on social media platform X. According to his post, the traveller accidentally left behind his Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses during a routine security check while rushing through the screening area around noon.

Unaware of the loss, he proceeded to the boarding gate. Just as boarding was about to begin, a CISF officer approached him and enquired whether he had misplaced a pair of sunglasses. The officer reportedly asked for specific details of the item and, after the passenger correctly described the brown case containing the smart glasses, personally escorted him back to the security checkpoint.

The glasses were promptly recovered and handed over to the passenger, preventing what could have been a costly loss. Expressing his gratitude, Shubhendu praised the CISF on social media, thanking the personnel for their quick response and attentive service, while tagging the CISF Airport Sector.

The CISF Airport Sector acknowledged the appreciation through its official X handle, stating that the force remains committed to assisting passengers with diligence and sincerity and that such feedback serves as motivation for its personnel.
