CHSE makes internal assessment, project work mandatory for +2 students in Odisha Photograph: (OTV (File))
The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha has made Internal Assessment and Project work mandatory for all Plus 2 Regular students across streams.
According to official information, the Internal Assessment examinations for the current academic year will be conducted between December 22 and December 31.
Assessment Structure for Arts & Science Students
For Arts and Science students, the assessment will include three subjects Mother Tongue, English, and Mathematics. Each subject will carry 20 marks, which will be added to their overall academic record.
Assessment Pattern for Commerce Stream
Similarly, Commerce students will be assessed in Mother Tongue, English, Mathematics, and Project Work, with 20 marks allotted for each component.
Authorities have clarified that no student will be exempted from Internal Assessment or Project submission. These components have been introduced to evaluate continuous learning, subject understanding, and project-based application among students.
Second Chance for Absentees
In case any student is unable to appear for the assessment due to valid reasons, a second opportunity will be provided. Such students will have to take the exam between January 10 and January 15 next year. However, they must submit proper justification for their absence during the main schedule.

With the assessment window approaching, colleges have been instructed to complete all necessary preparations and inform students about the guidelines, ensuring smooth and transparent conduct of the examination process.
