Chennai-New Jalpaiguri Express derails in Odisha’s Jajpur

The Chennai Central Express train derailed near Jakhapura station in Odisha’s Jajpur district on Thursday.

Reportedly, three coaches slipped off the tracks. 

The incident occurred earlier in the day at around 08:51 am, prompting an immediate response from railway authorities.

As per reports, a rescue team was dispatched from Bhadrak to the accident site and had left for the spot at the time of reporting.

The exact cause of the derailment was not known at the time of reporting.
