According to reports, five fishermen from Sahabajipur in Bhogarai had ventured into the sea on Wednesday morning for fishing. They cast their net around 700 feet from the shore, and during the process of hauling it in, the whale shark became entangled along with other fish. By the time it was brought closer, the fish had already died.

Fishermen Unable to Pull Massive Catch

The fishermen initially attempted to pull the whale shark ashore manually but were unable to do so due to its size and weight. They then tried to bring it towards the Talasari Fish Landing Centre using ropes. However, when the fish reached a point around 50 feet from the shore, the shallow water made it impossible to drag it any further.
