Car plunges from Shishu Bhavan overbridge in Bhubaneswar, driver escapes narrowly

A major road accident was reported in Bhubaneswar after a car crashed into a barricade on the Shishu Bhavan overbridge and plunged down from the flyover.

According to sources, the vehicle lost control and rammed into the barricade before falling off the overbridge. The car hit a tree below and was subsequently thrown onto the roof of a nearby house, causing panic in the area.

The driver of the car had a narrow escape and survived the accident. He was rescued from the vehicle and is reported to be safe. No other casualties were reported in the incident.

The accident occurred under the jurisdiction of the Capital Police Station. Police personnel reached the spot soon after receiving information and initiated an investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the mishap. 

Traffic movement in the area was temporarily affected following the incident.
