Car gutted in fire after accident in Odisha’s Nuapada district; 2 injured

A car was completely gutted in a fire after meeting with an accident near Powertala village in Odisha’s Nuapada district on Tuesday, triggering panic in the area.

According to sources, the vehicle, which is registered in Chhattisgarh, was travelling from Chhattisgarh towards the Nuapada region when it met with the accident. Soon after the crash, the car caught fire, and thick black smoke billowed into the air.

On noticing the flames, local residents rushed to the spot and managed to rescue the occupants from the vehicle before the fire spread further.

No Loss of Life

Two people were reportedly travelling in the car at the time of the accident. While both sustained injuries in the mishap, no loss of life was reported. The injured were immediately shifted to the district hospital, where they are undergoing treatment. Doctors said their condition is stable.

Police Launch Investigation

Police reached the spot soon after receiving information and have launched an investigation into the incident. The exact cause of the accident and the subsequent fire is yet to be ascertained.
