Addressing party workers, Bobby Das said that over the last 15 to 17 years, many leaders had been given opportunities in Korei. However, after benefiting politically, they allegedly distanced themselves from the constituency.

The BJD leader remarked that such actions had created divisions and also an atmosphere of mistrust within the party, adding that unity was essential to overcome these challenges.

Bobby’s statement has triggered intense discussion, as several BJD leaders—including Priti Ranjan Ghadai (Dani), Akash Das Nayak, and Ashok Bala—were elected from Korei during this period. This has led to speculations over who exactly was being targeted by the senior leader’s comments.

Bobby Das also openly acknowledged that differences and resentment exist among the BJD leaders.
Responding to the remarks, former MLA Priti Ranjan said he is unaware of the context in which Pranab Prakash Das made the statement.

Despite the buzz, party leaders maintain that BJD remains united across Jajpur district.

“During the last 15-17 years, several persons have had the opportunity (to serve the people of Korei). However, all of them have subsequently left Korei after taking advantage of the opportunities. It has created so much confusion that there is an atmosphere of hatred and mistrust among us,” Bobby Das said while addressing a gathering of BJD workers.
