In view of the upcoming Nuapada by-election, authorities on Sunday carried out an inspection of the helicopter used by BJP National Vice President and MP Baijayant Panda during his campaign visit to the district.

According to the Nuapada District Collector, the inspection was conducted as part of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) enforcement measures. The Flying Squad Team–4 (FST) and Video Surveillance Team (VST) jointly examined the helicopter after it landed in Nuapada.

“In view of the upcoming Nuapada Bye-Election 2025, the Flying Squad Team–4 (FST) and Video Surveillance Team (VST) conducted a thorough checking of Shri Baijayant Panda’s helicopter as part of the enforcement measures under the Model Code of Conduct,” the Collector posted on X (formerly Twitter).

Meanwhile, Baijayant Panda continued his extensive campaign in the constituency on Sunday, leading a massive roadshow across Nuapada town in support of BJP candidate Jay Dholakia. This marked the second consecutive day of his campaigning in the region.

During his public addresses, Panda appealed to voters to support the BJP for sustained development under a double-engine government, emphasising the party’s focus on welfare and growth. He highlighted key initiatives such as the Subhadra Scheme, which, he said, has benefited around 75,000 women in Nuapada.

The senior BJP leader also underlined the development-oriented vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, asserting that a continued BJP government would ensure prosperity and progress for the people of Nuapada.
