‘BJD distanced us’: Senior Leader Ananta Das’ son Abhijit likely to join BJP in Odisha!

In a significant political development, Abhijit Das, son of former minister and senior leader from Bhograi in Balasore, Ananta Das, has hinted at joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

As per reports, Abhijit indicated that he and his family are likely to join the saffron party soon. He said the decision is being taken to fulfil his father’s unfinished dreams.

As per sources, Abhijit met the BJP’s state president along with some senior party leaders on Sunday, fuelling speculation about his possible induction into the party in the coming days.

While no official announcement has been made yet, his statement has sparked political buzz in the state, especially in Balasore district.

"Whatever decision is taken for the development of Bhograi, our family will always stand by it. Our family has not left the BJD; rather, it was the BJD that distanced itself from our family long ago. At present, our primary responsibility is to carry forward the work and vision of our father in Bhograi. We regularly discuss this within our family and remain committed to the welfare of the people. For the past year, I have been actively participating in various meetings and developmental activities in Bhograi. Under the guidance of the MP, all BJP workers have been extending their full support and cooperation to me there," said Abhijit Das.
