With just days remaining for the much-anticipated high-voltage T20 clash between India and South Africa at Cuttack’s Barabati Stadium, players from both sides have begun arriving in Odisha. While both squads are officially scheduled to land on Sunday, fan favourite Hardik Pandya touched down early in Bhubaneswar, further heightening excitement among cricket enthusiasts. Several South African players arrived on Friday, and the rest of the Indian contingent is expected to reach the state capital today.
In anticipation of their arrival, extensive arrangements have been put in place for the teams. Hotel Mayfair in Bhubaneswar, where both squads will be accommodated, has made elaborate preparations to welcome the players. As a special cultural gesture, they will be greeted with vibrant tribal dance performances that reflect Odisha’s rich artistic heritage.
The hotel has also curated a dedicated menu featuring authentic Odia delicacies, with a strong focus on nutrition. Millet-based dishes have been given prominence to offer players a healthy yet flavourful taste of local cuisine.
The electrifying first T20 encounter between India and South Africa is scheduled for December 9 at Barabati Stadium. With anticipation reaching fever pitch, demand for match tickets has surged as fans gear up for the high-stakes showdown.
