Bansidhar & Ila Panda Foundation felicitates recipients of Prof Ghanashyam Dash Scholarship

The prestigious scholarship is awarded every year to meritorious students pursuing professional degrees in engineering, medicine, STEM disciplines, and liberal arts.

The Bansidhar and Ila Panda Foundation (BIPF), the CSR wing of the Indian Metals and Ferro Alloys Limited (IMFA), has honoured the winners of the prestigious Prof Ghanashyam Dash Scholarship for Higher Education on Friday.

The prestigious scholarship is awarded every year to meritorious students pursuing professional degrees in engineering, medicine, STEM disciplines, and liberal arts.

Selected candidates receive financial assistance covering up to 90 per cent of their academic fees and eligible expenses, with support of up to Rs 6 lakh per recipient for a four-year course.

Established in 2005 by IMFA, the scholarship is named after renowned historian late Professor Ghanashyam Dash. 

Congratulating the scholarship recipients, Shaifalika Panda, Founder and CEO of the Bansidhar and Ila Panda Foundation, extended her best wishes and encouragement to the awardees.

"Scholarships were provided to five students under the 21st Prof Ghanashyam Dash Scholarship for Higher Education today. They are from different streams like medical and engineering. The objective of the scholarship is to help meritorious students with the hope that they will help some other people in the society. The process will continue and as a society we will be able to uplift all," said IMFA Chief HR Sanjay Satapathy.

"Prof Ghanashyam Dash Scholarship is basically meant to help students in the higher level of education so that they will move forward in their career. We want to help students across India through this program. Generally, we give this scholarship to six students every year. Financial assistance covering up to 90 per cent of their academic fees is provided," said Dharmesh Goel, Vice-President of Bansidhar and Ila Panda Foundation.

"I thank to BIPF and IMFA for providing me this scholarship. It will be very helpful for me in my future. They will not only help financially, their guidance will also help develop personality skills. Thank you IMFA for everything," said Sushree Arnapurna Chakrabarty, a scholarship recipient.
