Balasore school shocker: Class VII student alleges misconduct by Maths teacher

Balasore witnessed a tense situation on Saturday after serious allegations of misconduct were raised against a mathematics teacher at a private school located within the limits of Balasore Town Police Station. The incident was reported from Haji Nasiruddin School, where a Class VII girl student allegedly accused her mathematics teacher of inappropriate behaviour.

According to sources, the minor student reportedly informed her family members about the alleged misconduct by the teacher, identified as Sheikh Rihan. The revelation triggered outrage among the family and residents. Soon after the allegation surfaced, a large number of locals, along with the student’s family members, gathered at the school premises demanding strict action against the accused teacher.

The situation escalated when the agitated crowd allegedly surrounded the teacher and assaulted him within the school premises. Tension prevailed in the area for some time, causing panic among students, staff, and nearby residents. Upon receiving information about the unrest, the Balasore Town Police rushed to the scene to bring the situation under control. However, by the time police personnel arrived, the accused teacher had reportedly fled from the scene.

Police officials stated that an investigation has been initiated based on the complaint lodged by the student’s family. Necessary legal procedures are being followed, and efforts are underway to trace the whereabouts of the accused teacher. The police have also assured that strict action will be taken based on the outcome of the investigation.

Meanwhile, the incident has sparked concern among parents and locals regarding student safety within educational institutions. No official statement or response could be obtained from the accused teacher regarding the allegations till the filing of this report.
