Balasore MP Pratap Sarangi, on Tuesday, visited the Durgapur ‘gangrape’ victim at the hospital in West Bengal's Paschim Bardhaman district, where she is undergoing treatment.
Odisha BJP Mahila Morcha president Aiswarya Biswal also accompanied Sarangi.
Sarangi, who arrived in Durgapur in the afternoon with a team of BJP workers, was reportedly stopped by the hospital's security personnel, leading to an argument between the two sides.
As per reports, Sarangi had to wait for a long time as the security personnel didn't respond to him and open the hospital door.
Later, Sarangi met the parents of the victim and discussed about the condition of the victim. It has been learnt that the BJP MP, along with a few party workers from Balasore, later met the victim in the hospital.
